A Bahrupiya came to the court of Aurangzeb Alamgir and said:
"Even though you think it's bad to play a song -
Emperor Moazzam! But I am an artist and I have come to serve you as an artist I am Bahrupia - my name is Kundan Bahrupia -
And I can disguise myself to deceive you who are proud of your knowledge, and I come out with great success in return -
Aurangzeb Alamgir said: Your talk is like a waste of time - I also consider hunting as a useless task, I do not give any importance to what you are claiming before me - "
He said: "Hat Kangan Arsi Kya - You are such a great emperor and do not answer in wisdom - I will disguise myself, you will recognize me -"
So he said! "Accepted"
He said, Sir, you are the emperor of time - if you recognize me, then I am your giver -
But if you do not recognize me and I disguise myself like this, I will take five hundred rupees from you -
The emperor said the condition was accepted -
After he came to know that the next year the emperor would attack the Marathas, he reached this place on foot from there.
After a year, when Aurangzeb Alamgir reached South India with his Lao army and camped, he was a little scared -
And when he attacked the Marathas, they were so strongly fortified that his forces could not breach that fort -
People said that a Dervish Wali Allah lives here, attend his service - then pray, then break -
The emperor was worried, the poor man ran to them - saluted, and said; "At your service in my presence..."
He said! "We are poor men, what have we to do with such things—"
The emperor said! "No, the world of Islam is having a very difficult time (as man pretends). Please help us. I want to attack this fort tomorrow -"
So the poor man said! "No, don't do it tomorrow, do it the day after tomorrow and the day after that, do the Zuhr prayer -"
Aurangzeb said yes very good! The attack he made after the Zuhr prayer was done with such force and with such passion, and behind it was the supplication of the fakir, and such a supplication that the fort was broken and conquered - the vanquished fell to their feet -
After his victory over the Maratha leader, the king went directly to the service of the dervish - even though he used to wear hats and recite the Holy Quran, he wore a large green turban studded with large emeralds and jewels. He went and took off his turban and stood up saying that all this happened thanks to you.
The poor man said: "No, whatever God has done."
He said that I want to offer something to you
Dervish said: "No, we are poor people -"
Aurangzeb said two Parganahs meaning two big towns - as big as your Okara and Patuki - I give you and for the next five or seven Pashtuns all amnesty -
He said: "Baba, what is the use of all these things for us - we are poor people, your great kindness -"
Aurangzeb pushed hard but he did not obey and the king returned disappointed -
And Aurangzeb came and sat on his throne while he was issuing a decree.
So the emperor said: "Hozor, why did you come here, if you ordered me, I would have attended your service -"
Kundan said! "No, His Highness! Now this was our duty. If we were present at your service, Your Highness, I am Kundan Bahrupia - grant me my five hundred rupees -"
He said: "You are that—
Kundan said yes, I am the one who promised you one and a half years ago.
Aurangzeb said: "I have no objection to giving five hundred rupees - I ask you this when I pardoned you two Parganas and two towns when I gave you so much land in your name when I gave you seven pasts." he gave the concession that he can stay in my possession wherever he wants and how he wants - why did you refuse at that time?
This five hundred rupees is nothing -
He said: "Hozor, the thing is that those who wore the form, their honor was intended - they are true people, we are liars - I cannot do this to put on the form of truth and then commit dishonesty -"
